Urban Canvas Exhibition by Philipp Karl Helfried

Free Man

Philipp Karl Helfried’s painting “Free Man” draws inspiration from the iconic speech by John F. Kennedy, where he proclaimed, “All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words ‘Ich bin ein Berliner!‘” This powerful declaration of solidarity and freedom is vividly captured in Helfried’s work.

“Free Man” reflects the spirit of resilience and unity that Kennedy championed. Bold strokes and vibrant colours symbolise the strength and pride of a free individual. Helfried’s interpretation invites viewers to consider their own relationship with freedom and identity, making this piece a thought-provoking addition to any collection.
